I’m probably going to end up being your third wheel.
So I guess you should know a little bit more about me!
The Key Bits…
My name is Courtenay (Court-e-nay) but everyone calls me Court.
That couple up there and down there? That’s me and my husband Michael (we were married in April 2022!).
I’m a loving (read: obsessed) dog mum to Bailey (the cute one in the photo below).
I’m into good coffee, a cheeky gin or red, and wholesome home-cooked meals with friends.
My family have always been advocates for popping open a bubbles to celebrate everything, including just life itself.
And I’m a big believer in love, in all it’s beautiful forms and ways.
I first learnt about love from two of my favourite people - my grandparents.
You know them -
They were the old couple walking down the street holding hands.
Although the details got a little hazy the older he got, and the location would change from time to time, my favourite story my Grandpa told was the one where he met my Grandma.
Being away in the Navy, he started university a little later than he would have if there hadn’t been a war.
When he arrived back in Brisbane, he went to the University of Queensland on registration day to start his medical degree. Along with all the other lads signing up that day, he was milling outside the main building.
Out of the door walked a group of girls…
As all of the boys started waving and whistling, a woman in a brown skirt turned, smiled, and waved.
And my Grandpa swears that was the moment he knew he would marry her.

For those that like to know all the juicy details…
I’m one of those people that loves to help others. And I’m not just saying that.
I literally used to stay behind at primary school to help other kids finish their homework.
As time has gone on, I’ve been lucky to add a whole range of skills to my little tool box. Life coaching, personal training, health science, event management and styling, project management… it goes on.
It took me a while to realise, but the one thing all of those things have in common is that I have wanted to help people be happy.
And now, I am so incredibly lucky to help couples (like you!) create beautiful ceremonies where they get to celebrate them and their love.
Seriously, nothing beats it.

I understand, from both a celebrant perspective, and from a getting married perspective, how important it is that the person standing up there with you is someone who you know and trust.
It is so important to me that you both feel like a friend is up there with you, to help you feel calm and excited for your ceremony, to be the friendly face standing next to you and so that you both trust I have created a ceremony that is wholeheartedly you.
To me, that means:
Sharing a coffee or a wine and us to get to know each other (nothing weird, I promise!)
You both answering some very important & meaningful questions
Together, creating a bespoke ceremony that is meaningful, warm and totally you two
You knowing and trusting that I’ve got all the legal bits (and everything else!) covered
So, whether it’s having friends or family play a special role, having your dog be your ring bearer, reminiscing on your favourite (or most entertaining) moments of your relationship, let’s create a ceremony that is completely you two, together.
Thinking we might be right for each other?
Pop through a message and we can organise a wee catch up or I can send you through some more information - trust me, this is totally obligation free!
The great thing about this industry is that we all want you to find the right fit for you.
